Omikuji 1 ~ 100
All omikuji are rewritten from a scratch. Now they contain one block of text, split into four sentences, each, approximately, corresponding to original Chinese verses (quatrains) known as 元三大師百籤 (Ganzan Daishi Hyakusen). My original goal was to recreate authentic omikuji texts used in real Japanese shrines, but this task turned out to be not quite feasible due to great deal of variety between different omikuji editions and their interpretations. So there isn't any single "authentic" standard. Original short verses composed of Chinese characters are full of poetic metaphors and ancient references, and make little sense even to native speakers without interpretation notes. And various shrines use different interpretations, often straying far away from original verses, and intentionally changing their meaning to fit modern context. And the more I researched, the more complex this topic became, so for long time I could not decide how to handle all of that.
Long story short, I finished the job, and all 100 omikuji fortunes now can be drawn from the box. In the final edition I opted for shorter texts instead of lengthy explanations, trying to keep everything as close to historical verses as possible. While also delivering intended overall message.
Apartment electricity & bills
Automatic adjustment of apartment room temperature is removed. Air conditioning unit now can be used for the same purpose, and will stabilize room temperature at +23 C. Can be turned on and off using control panel.
All electrical devices used in apartment room will consume electricity. New electricity metering device is installed in the apartment room, and can be used to control and pay for electricity.
If unpaid electricity reaches 1000 kWh (10,000 Yen), electricity will be cut off, and restored after bills are paid.
New kotatsu table can be bought in the convenience store and used as a cheaper alternative to AC. Kotatsu will add +3 degrees to any current room temperature (within limited area around table).
Sleeping in warm clothes is a free alternative to using any heating devices (also works IRL).
Convenience store additions: coconuts, 3 types of cups, blue alarm buzzer, new poster explaining effects of wearing backpacks.
Improvements:
- New game logo design in the main menu.
- Object interactions limited to members of specific clubs now will show a notification explaining that they require club membership.
- Pan, pot, and kettle now can be placed on the floor or tables in apartment room.
Bug fixes:
- fixed a minor bug with object interactions (e.g., catching squirrels) that were triggered twice if action button was pressed twice within a fraction of a second.
- fixed a bug when dynamic objects (basket balls) placed on top of furniture were falling through apartment floor and disappearing. Now they can be placed on top of furniture, but will fall on the floor if their parent furniture is moved. If any already bugged objects existed in a saved game, they will be automatically destroyed when apartment level is loaded.
- fixed a minor bug with wrong material properties for sneakers shoes.
- fixed a bug with current state (on/off) of apartment room lamps not being initialized correctly after loading apartment location.
- fixed a bug with kanji dictionary/workbook #3 not displaying content.
