Revamping, Redirection and Update v1.0.5

Since the release of RTS Creator 12 days ago, we've been able to discover much regarding RTS Creator's usage, user intentions, and perspective of the product. Our original aim was to target gamers who wanted to create their own Real Time Strategy games, whether it was a tower defense game or classic RTS game. What we've discovered in the process is that RTS Creator provides more granularity than a "slap and play" game engine and though still very much in its infancy, has the platform to become a serious development game engine.

The difference between RTS Creator and leading game engines such as Unity, Unreal and CryEngine is the obvious niche RTS Creator provides in developing Real Time Strategy games. While you can create RTS games with Unity, Unreal, and CryEngine, you'll spend 90% of the time reconstructing the framework that RTS Creator already provides.

With feedback and recognition of RTS Creator's market positioning we've decided to readjust our target audience to new and experienced game developers. We firmly believe that RTS Creator could be the engine of choice for independent studio's planning to develop a Real Time Strategy game and not just hobbyist.

Updates in the latest version, 1.0.5, include multiple fixes that can be seen in the release notes. The most notable fixes include fixed normal mapping and shadow intensity that can be adjusted from the map editor. Because of this, levels may appear darker, requiring the light intensity to be increased to compensate.

We've also added glow maps for models. The glow maps are transparent .png images and what pixels are not transparent glow.

Thank you all and we look forward to playing your RTS Game!
