Hello Ironcast beta testers!

Welcome to our final beta build release before the official launch of the game. There's an absolute tonne of bug fixes, difficulty tweaks and polish in this build. Barring any horrible bugs you guys may find in the next few days, this could be our final Ironcast launch build!

On with the patch notes!

  • Localisation added for German, French, Spanish and Italian. Language can be changed from the settings menu on the start screen
  • Various UI tweaks and fixes to accommodate other languages
  • Removed the turn timer. Players now have as long as they want to make matches!
  • New 2 Part tutorial. Better introduction of basic mechanics with optional "Advanced" tactics tutorial if players wish to learn more
  • Minor art clean-up
  • Fixed UI Particles sometimes either displaying at an incorrect size or displaying on top of other UI when they shouldn't
  • Steam Achievements added
  • Changes to how the initial grid is set up. Initial grid spawns coolant and scrap at 25% of normal rate to give the player more useful nodes to start with
  • Scrap nodes no longer spawn in boss battles
  • Fixed various timing issues that could cause game hangs
  • Improved AI is now smarter at choosing which weapons to attack with
  • Health bars now have a slowly depleting yellow segment to more clearly show health loss
  • Fixed issue with AI overheating and destroying itself, causing a game hang
  • Added a "Grid Refresh" mechanic that will generate a new grid should the grid end up in an unmatchable state
  • Enemies can no longer overheat and damage themselves during Salvage missions
  • Added sound effects for Ironcast abilities, along with other minor sound and music tweaks
  • Fixed bugs with UI panels with scroll-bars sometimes scrolling incorrectly
  • If player has a save game, a confirmation dialog will appear when starting a new game warning the player on potential progress loss
  • Fixed bug on Windows where setting the game to be in windowed mode on dual monitor setups would sometimes cause the game move and position between the two monitors
  • Added damask borders to prevent the game assets breaking should a wider aspect ratio than 16:9 be used
  • Fixed a few passive augmentations that did not function correctly
  • Clicking the map in the hanger bay will now close the mission info window if open
  • Fixed an issue where the in-game UI would not fade out correctly
  • Improved the "Drag and Drop" equipping process in the Hanger bay.
  • Damage pop ups are now sorted correctly with the UI.
  • Progress made in the tutorial now no longer counts towards Steam Achievements
  • Various Performance tweaks and optimisations
  • Various minor gameplay balancing tweaks
  • Various minor fixes to missions such as some missions not rewarding the player correctly
  • Various other minor bug fixes
