I've see quite a few people having issues with the mod recently. Specifically the mod crashes at the start of the game.
This is likely due to a bug with the closed captioning mechanism, which I'm hoping I can patch for you eventually.
To get around the bug in the meantime, please make sure you've turned on Subtitles in audio settings, and start a new game. Disabling subtitles will make the dreaded crash return so it's best to keep them enabled.
