Steam June Next Fest!

The wait is over – git gud is now live with a playable demo as part of Steam’s June Next Fest!

I’m incredibly excited for you to finally get your hands on it. Whether you're brand new to Git or just looking to sharpen your command line skills, git gud is designed to make learning Git feel like a game—because it is one!

Now, let’s be real: Git isn’t exactly known for being beginner-friendly or “fun.” But that’s exactly why I made this game. git gud gives you hands-on experience with a fully simulated Git environment, teaching you skills that go far beyond what GUI tools can offer.

A quick heads-up: Git is massive, with countless commands and flags. There may be challenges with multiple valid solutions, or edge cases where your input isn’t recognized—yet. If something should work but doesn’t, please hop over to the Bugs & Solutions forum on the Steam Discussions page and let me know!

I've worked hard to make git gud as close to real Git as possible—even simulating complex features like interactive rebasing. It's a passion project, and your feedback will help make it even better for full release.

Thanks so much for checking out git gud! I hope you enjoy the demo, and I’ll see you again when the full game launches on June 17th.Also join our Discord!

Let's get into it. Zyndeck VX Coming 2027 — Developed by CaliCG, published by Fishagon! Our premiere announcement for th…In-game event2 Aug 2026v1.6.1: Challenge 69 AdjustmentsHey! This is primarily a fix for Challenge 69 having some bad hints, but also came across some bugs and improvements to the simulation for edge case solutions. As since a few updates back, this is now part of the ever growing unit tests for what has become a massive simulation. Hopefully we won't see any regressions around this challenge now that the tests around it have grown by four times. It…Major update23 May 2026v1.6.0: git gud guiHello ! The update might not look huge by the changelog, but I can assure you this is a massive update. The Windows version of git gud was running on .Net 4.8, the Linux and Mac versions were running on .Net 6 and weirdly enough my test framework was running .Net 8 haha. Now all three versions have been updated to .Net 10. And the really big change. Most of the negative reviews about git gud re…
