Greetings to all from the shores of Blackreef;

Today, we are here to talk with you about Gülcemal. We are planning to release the Gülcemal update, which we have been mentioning for some time, toward the end of this month. The Gülcemal update will be slightly different from the game’s overall atmosphere, and we acknowledge that. We hope you enjoy what we have created and take pleasure in the story of this fantastical ship.

Gülcemal Gemisi

The Gülcemal holds an important place in Turkish maritime history. It was the first Turkish ship to sail to America. Gülcemal served in many different capacities and even hosted Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, the founder of the Republic of Türkiye, for a period. Renowned Turkish writers composed poems about the ship, and it became the subject of folk songs. In this respect, it was a highly significant vessel for its era.

By adding this ship to our game, we aimed both to revive a piece of history and to expand the story of our game. Of course, we may not have been able to reflect everything exactly as it was; however, as a Turkish team, being able to include this ship and its story in our game, even to a small extent, is a great source of pride for us.

Ingame Story

Gülcemal is on one of its voyages to United State. While on the return journey, its systems suddenly fail, the rudder locks, and the ship is dragged toward the Miskatonic River. During this time, strange events begin to occur aboard the vessel. The ship’s chief engineer, Kadri Bey, recounts the incident as follows:

“An extraordinary incident occurred aboard our ship. We were caught in the current and dragged toward the Miskatonic River. When we managed, with great difficulty, to restart the engines and return to our course, strange and inexplicable events began to manifest throughout the ship.”

Following these events, Kadri Bey travels to the island to seek help from the Gülcemal, which has anchored off the coast of the town of Blackreef.

Gameplay

As the events aboard the Gülcemal unfold, numerous strange occurrences begin to take place. All of the ship’s rooms have become disordered and intertwined. The crew claims that the locations of the rooms change every night, leaving them deeply unsettled. At times, the doors of these rooms open into dead ends. The ship’s captain, Süvari Lütfi, cannot be reached. The route leading to the captain’s bridge changes each night.

We must determine the positions of the rooms, reach the captain’s bridge, and rescue Captain Lütfi. Only then can we set right what is happening aboard the ship.

Early Gameplay

And More...

With this update, if time allows, we are also planning to add the following extras:

  • New ships

  • New customers

  • New items

  • Level 4 tool upgrades

  • More decoration options

  • Greater fish variety

If we are unable to complete these in time, we will prepare them shortly after the Gülcemal update and add them to the game in a follow-up update.

“The order and excellence we observed aboard the steamship Gülcemal are truly worthy of commendation. I extend my gratitude to the General Director, the ship’s master, and the entire crew.”

-Mustafa Kemal Atatürk

We hope you enjoy the new features we have introduced. We want to continue creating content that is both exciting and enjoyable for you. Thank you once again for the support you have shown us. We look forward to seeing you again with the update on January 30.
