Devlog – Major Gameplay Changes & New Features
This month has been dedicated to improving the core gameplay and bringing the game closer to its final vision. Several important changes have been introduced to add more strategy, meaningful decisions, and replayability.
One of the main additions is a new attack upgrade system with trade-offs. Instead of upgrades that are always better, some choices now offer powerful advantages but also real drawbacks. For example, you might choose a very strong attack that damages your own character, or a weaker attack that grants you extra resources. These decisions make upgrades more interesting and create situations where players must find the right balance between risk, reward, and long-term strategy.
Another major change is the introduction of the Armor (defense) stat, which significantly changes combat dynamics. With this new stat, characters can now specialize more clearly into defensive or tank-oriented roles, opening the door to new team archetypes and additional strategic possibilities. Protecting allies, absorbing damage, and building durable compositions now becomes a real playstyle.
These additions are part of a broader effort to deepen the gameplay while keeping each run unique and engaging.
The upcoming demo update will showcase these improvements as development moves into the final phase: balancing the game and polishing the overall experience.
