Using 3rd Party Custom Models + Steam Workshop

This one is surely gonna be a game changer. Once finished, you can use almost any 3d model off the internet or use Steam Workshop to download any model, character, mascot, etc. and place them in the mascots folder and your done.
No programming, modelling, etc. required. Just think of the possibilities.
We are also working on allowing cross-usage of our existing set of animations with custom models so that much more fun things are possible. As you see in above preview, we just imported Thanos and Iron-Man models for testing and they worked right out of the box with our existing dancing animations.

Voice Expressions

Currently not as great as we would like them to be, but surely they will add much more realism to the characters. We are trying a few options and variances of how to blend the voice responses as generic voices for as many characters as we can and to not make them weird, annoying or irritating.

Dynamic and Real-Time Behavior

This is quite hard and will be a over time improvement to make the Mascot's animation states, reactions and interactions as dynamic and real-time as possible. Its mood and behavior (animations) will change depending on various conditions including your timely interaction with it.

Steam Achievements

We are adding some cool and hidden steam achievements, some of which will be easier to find and some of which will be hard to find and hidden in your day to day interaction with the mascot.

AI-Assistant

We have already started some work and experimentation with the AI-Assistant, including voice and phrase based commands. Instead of generic commands like "Movie Rating Avengers", you can simply ask the AI in full language phrases like "Whats the movie rating for Avengers Infinity War" or "Whats the rotten tomato rating for Avengers movie ?"

Oh and were also planning a Kickstarter campaign to raise some funds to increase our team size, speed up our development and well, speed things up.

Community13 Nov 2019DME Status, what happened, why and whats nextHello Everyone, This might be a long post so I will conclude everything in short here itself: 1. DesktopMascotEngine project is not dead, however, this project turned more ambitious than I initially thought or planned for (I am a one man army, no team here) and unfortunately its early access sales itself couldn't cover much of our/my working costs. 2. By November 2018 end, I had fallen to press…Community19 Jan 2019Regarding state of Windows 7/8 compatibility and Feature RequestsHey fellas, We were supposed to release a content update around/before Christmas but due to family commitments and being ill since New Year delayed a lot of stuff. Since then, I have been committed to diagnose, research and fix DME' backward compatibility with Windows 7 and Windows 8 as my priority issue. I am happy to confirm that I have finally found a way to make DME work for Windows 7 and 8…Community9 Dec 2018Demi AI now released, some small fixes and new trailer videoI think were half a week late from the promised release of Demi AI update. Last week we had a critical bug so we had to delay the patch release till now. This new build includes DEMI, a conversational AI powered by Neural Networks (Machine Learning). Currently it is available for use for all users on Windows 10* and only requires a mic. Its free to use. We trained our data using 3rd party conve…
