Following Steam Next Fest, we’ve continued improving the demo based on your feedback. Today, we’re excited to share a new update!
The A Study in Blue demo is now playable in Spanish!
We hope this will allow more players to explore Republica and experience the story of Kenneth and Blue.

Thanks to your feedback, we’ve made several improvements to enhance the overall experience:
Dialogue lines are now easier and smoother to progress through with clicks
Added an option to disable the dialogue text appearance effect (for improved visual comfort)
Added Spanish language support
Various French and English translation fixes
Major reduction of stuttering, which previously prevented some players from continuing the demo
Fixed an issue where certain timers were affected by framerate
→ This could lead to inconsistent gameplay depending on your setup
Added a new tutorial for the accusation phase
→ to better highlight the importance of your choices
→ and encourage players to build their reasoning using clues from the notebook
Improved guidance during the investigation
→ making it clearer how to find key elements and progress smoothly
For those just joining us:
The demo is a side investigation from the full game, lasting around 2 hours on average. You’ll learn more about Kiara Carter while exploring one of Republica’s many stories.
The demo will remain available until the full release, so you can replay it, try different choices, or discover it for the first time at your own pace.
