Darkest greetings Underlords,

Entranced in their darkest worships your cultists study visions of a distant and unusual realm; one overrun with gargantuan monsters, brought low by overwhelming firepower and swiftly picked apart as if descended upon by so many carrion feeders. Delicious.

We’re pleased to announce that Brightrock’s next game, in partnership with Mythwright, is finally revealed as the job simulation videogame Kaiju Cleanup, coming to Steam and other platforms at some point as yet undetermined.

But what exactly is Kaiju Cleanup? And in what ways will its sinister binary magiks hack your brain into seeking gainful employment in the sanitation industry? Check out the gruesome details in this fully fact-checked vision plucked from the aether.

Should such morbid fascinations appeal to you Underlord then you are compelled to wishlist the game; for such actions will please the darkest of gods, The Algorithm, and shower our plucky development imps with future success.

Then cast your eyes upon the social media lest you miss the latest developments from this strange realm.

A Message from Brightrock Games & The Future of War for The Overworld

Hey folks,

Thanks for checking out the announcement of Kaiju Cleanup! We and our partners at Mythwright are super excited to hear what you think, and are looking forward to sharing more over the coming months.

For those of you who’ve been with us for a while, we know this is a departure from our usual faire and might come as a bit of a surprise! After Galacticare — which was a big project for us — we wanted to try our hands at something smaller, lighter, and… messier.

But rest assured that this is far from the only project under construction in the digital halls of Brightrock Games, in fact Kaiju Cleanup is explicitly designed to be a lighter, more agile project allowing us to expand our team, develop our techniques and parallelise our studio.

For our valued Underlords who long for the opportunity to return to the warrens of Kairos we wanted you to know that we’ve not forgotten why we started this journey and our history remains very close to our cores. We’re happy to share that the next War for the Overworld game is in the earliest stages of being realised, but please keep in mind that when we say early, we mean early.

We’re eager to do this right, and it’s going to be another huge project for us — one that needs a sizable development time, so it might be quite a while before we have any further news to share from the depths. We’re confident it’ll be worth the wait.

Until then, please support our upcoming game Kaiju Cleanup by wishlisting and following our development!

Until next time Underlord,

- Brightrock Games
