We’ve been deep in the development of Winter Burrow over the past few months, which is why we haven’t posted here for a while. But now, we’ve finally popped our heads out of the burrow to have a chat!
Hello, I'm Benjamin, CEO and Creative Director at Pine Creek Games. Every day, I’m amazed by what the team designs, creates, and develops. We’ve added more creatures that now roam the world. NPCs have come to life through character descriptions and dialogue. New areas with their own unique environments are growing out of the once-blank canvas. New features have been designed and implemented.
These are some of the things I'm most excited about! 😊
I’m incredibly excited about our new Weather System. It adds so much atmosphere to the game while introducing unique gameplay experiences. Imagine exploring a new area in thick fog or getting caught in a fierce snowstorm—these are now dynamic events you can encounter in Winter Burrow. But don’t worry, we won’t throw a blizzard at you right away! We’ll make sure you’ve had time to settle in before the weather turns wild. ⛄
We’ve also improved the Furnishing System, allowing you to customize your home burrow to your heart’s content. We’ve designed different furniture sets, each with its own distinct style and requiring unique resources to craft. The system is designed to be simple—so we can develop it within our timeline while ensuring stability—but it still offers plenty of ways to arrange furniture and decorate your space just the way you like. You can also easily disassemble or move furniture if needed. It’s still in development, but here’s a little preview of our progress:
