Hi! I wanted to talk today about the future content of Capsular. Since the free weekend event went not as expected and the playercount is still very low i have decided to focus the main chunk of my time, to implement more singleplayer / coop content into the game. Over the upcomming weeks i will release a public beta branch. This beta branch will get much more updates then usually. Please keep in mind that builds on the beta branch are unstable.
Hideout
The Hideout is a player housing system that allows you do decorate your own apartment however you want! Coop missions will sometimes drop random trophys that you can hang in your apartment. The hideout is designed as the endgame of Capsular. Its a place you can hangout with your friends and have some good old fun or to just brag!
Coop Campaign
I am also working on a coop campaign. Wich will develop the story of Capsular a bit more. The coop missions can be played alone or with up to 3 friends. More on that soon! The first Campaign will be split into single missions wich will roll out over time. Stay tuned for more information!
Future Arena FPS content
Unfortunatly the next few updates wont have any new content for the Arena FPS gamemode. I will still do balance and bug fixes here and there tho.
Future Modding
I plan to implement modding into the game. Modding will propably be released before or after the full games launch. My plan is to allow everyone to make new maps for ANY gamemode. But you can also implement more coop enemies, weapons, cosmetics and furniture for the hideout.
I hope you guys will understand my change in direction. I came to the conclusion that working on a pure Arena FPS isnt a good idea since there are other WAY more polished games in the genre and i simply cant compete with them.
