He Is Coming News Recap
While He Is Coming is unique in many respects, the Kingmaker PvP mode is a fan favorite feature that's gotten some serious love in recent updates. In Patch #11, the Chronocle Games team introduced a new kind of confrontation for Kingmaker mode: real-time 1v1 battles with friends.
Prior to this update, all encounters in Kingmaker mode were asynchronous, with players facing uploaded builds rather than battling each other directly. This patch changed all that. Now, you're able to challenge your friend(s) and try to outsmart each other in real time. In 1v1 mode, both players begin their journey from the same seed, but can take different paths and make different choices to influence the outcome. Battles occur in 5 stages, and the first player to take 3 wins is crowned the victor.

The game has also gotten some new content and significant quality-of-life changes in the last few months. Patch #9 added the Hall of Fame, a unique feature that celebrates winning PvP champions and retires them after reaching 10 victories. This change encouraged players to continue experimenting with new builds in their Kingmaker runs, and revamped the way players approach PvP battles.
Patch #9 also set all rare & heroic items to be unique by default, and introduced a number of item-related balance changes. These changes helped improved build diversity and encouraged players to try out new items and discover new synergies in their builds.

More Is Coming
2026 should be a very exciting time for fans of He Is Coming. The Chronocle Games team plans to release the game into 1.0 sometime later this year. They're also working on adding:
- A new PvE area (Darkland)
- New Kingmaker bundles
- New Kingmaker skins
