Malys Devlog #2

Well, it's been just under a week since we surprise launched Malys.

How are we feeling, exorcists?

We are currently 100% positive on Steam which is HUGE as an Early Access title, and we wanted to check in to let you know where we're at with planning for the next update. We just shared a massive devlog over on our website detailing everything we have planned and our initial thoughts on the feedback and bug reports we've received.

Read The Devlog!

A big shoutout to those of you who've reviewed - reviews are hugely important for independent developers - they help us get more visibility in Steam against other games. We are currently still 100% positive at time of writing, which is massive. We appreciate all the grace you’re giving the game as we work through teething pains and adding content on the road to launch!

We've also been grateful to get some great press sharing their thoughts on the game. You can read through some of those here.

"Ex Dragon Age dev's deckbuilder just launched, and it's gothic Slay the Spire"

"Malys deserves a chance to realise its demonic potential"

"Ex Dragon Age writer's new studio shrugs off a failed Kickstarter, chucks its exorcist take on Slay the Spire right onto Steam – and it's a cool roguelike with a mana system I don't think I've ever seen"

We’ll be a little quiet for the next week or so as we work hard to get as much in the next update as possible. You can stay in touch on our socials, and we’ll still be reading everything you share!

Thank you, and enjoy the devlog!

Game update19 Dec 2025Patch 1.2 ReleasedHappy holidays, exorcists! Patch 1.2 has just been pushed live to Steam, fixing a number of issues that have arisen since our last patch post-launch. Some of these were very hard to track down, so thank you to everyone who wrote bug reports or sent in save games - they were invaluable! IMPORTANT NOTE: If you experienced the bug where you defeated Malys with a single Patron and were directed to…Game update31 Oct 2025Patch 1.1 ReleasedHello exorcists! We have just pushed Patch 1.1 live to Steam, which fixes a number of bugs that have been raised since launch, particularly the most egregious ones. As a heads up, Summerfall is taking the next 2 weeks off as launching any game is a huge effort and we are all exhausted (though I will jump into the forums every now and then to respond to things! - Liam). We'll be back after that…Game update24 Oct 2025Hotfix 1.0a ReleasedHello exorcists! We've pushed a hotfix to solve a few issues people have reported and we noticed over the last few days of testing, which we wanted to get out ASAP before everyone digs in over the weekend. One of those things was a problem with difficulty scaling, where things were far harder than we intended. BUT, if you played the build and you liked that? We hear you, and we've added a new d…
