First of all, thank you for all the detailed feedback and reviews. We read it carefully, and it has already led to many changes. Right now we are reworking the dialogue to make it shorter, livelier, and more authentic, and that is just one piece of it. We are focused on plenty of the other things you have pointed out too, and we will keep refining the game as we head toward launch.
The demo includes the full tutorial and the entire first map, the Planes, with all six main quests and the mechanics that come with them. You will meet the spirit of Father Storm, track down and earn the trust of your first herd members, infiltrate a settlement to rescue a captive stallion, haul hay with a hitched wagon, help a wounded ally, and face off in your first rodeo encounter with the Colonel. It is a complete slice of the experience and a solid foundation for everything that follows.
The full game opens up the entire world and goes much deeper. Here is some of what is on the way:

Pressure and survival mechanics, including storms, nightfall, and predators that raise the tension during escort missions
New gameplay mechanics such as NPCs riding horses, attaching a cart, the rodeo mechanic, Ahuli shooting at enemies, bucket-carrying QTEs, and cannon sequences in the Winter and Desert quests
