The Birdseed multiplayer update has finally landed in Early Access on Meta Quest! Birding is better than ever with friends: share photos, exchange tips, and chat in this cozy birdwatching experience in VR 🎮.
This update is currently exclusive to the Early Access version on the Meta Horizon store, and will be coming to Steam VR in the future as well.
Social multiplayer is here 👥
With the new multiplayer feature, you can now create a room code to have up to 3 friends join you in VR. To join each other, simply enter the Multiplayer Tab in your Journal and create a customized room code or simply use the premade randomized one. And walla! You now have multiplayer in Birdseed!
Show off your 3-star photos with your bestie 📷
Snap a shot and share the pic! You’ll now be able to physically show off your photos, camera skins, and lenses to your birding companions just like you would during a real life birding session!
Access your Journal in a friend’s forest 📗
Want to still have access to all your goodies? Don’t worry, you still have your Journal even in multiplayer! Access your own Daily Missions, Inventory, and all your Journal’s contents even while playing in someone else’s lobby.

🎤 Microphone access is no longer requested when the app launches - You can now mute yourself in app and avoid any crash issues we were having previously.
