Hello Shipbreakers!

First of all, we want to say a massive thank you for the incredible support you have shown us during the whole development of the Ship Graveyard Simulator series. 🤝

Seeing you dismantle shipwrecks and build your businesses has been amazing. Today, we want to have an honest chat with you about the future of the series, address your feedback, and explain why we are moving forward with Ship Graveyard Simulator 3.

📍 The Limits of the Old Engine
We read your comments, reviews, and Discord messages every single day. We know exactly what you want: bigger ships, more realistic physics, and freedom in destruction. We wanted to give you all of that in SGS2, but we eventually hit a solid wall in the game engine.

The engine powering Ship Graveyard Simulator 2 has technical limitations that we simply cannot overcome anymore. You might have noticed this when dismantling the absolute largest ship models. The Ship Graveyard Simulator 3 is now being developed in different way, which allows us to take a completely different approach to SGS3 development.

📍 Building a Revolution on Unreal Engine 5
We made the huge decision to build Ship Graveyard Simulator 3 from the ground up on Unreal Engine 5. This gives us possibilities that were previously impossible. It allows us to introduce the Free Cutting, highly detailed shipwrecks, ScrapVision, a town with an economy, a level of destruction, and most importantly, we can approach the entire development of SGS3 differently.

Beyond the physics and scale, we are also adding entirely new features that simply weren't possible due to the SGS2 engine. We have some truly revolutionary changes planned for the overall gameplay loop, which we will be detailing in future devlogs!

We will be showcasing these brand-new mechanics and the sheer scale of Ship Graveyard Simulator 3 very soon, so stay tuned!

📍 We Are Still Supporting SGS2
We want to make one thing absolutely clear: we are still supporting Ship Graveyard Simulator 2. Moving our main focus to SGS3 does not mean we are abandoning the docks you have spent so many hours in. We will continue to keep an eye on the game and support our SGS2 community. We also have some plans to show more things strictly related to SGS2, such as DLC and a general update of the game.

Join us on the new journey! 🛣️
Your feedback shaped SGS3, and we can’t wait to show you what we have been working on. If you want to support us and stay up to date with the development, adding the SGS3 to your Wishlist means a lot to us! And remember to sign up for Playtest to be the first to check out what's coming!

We strongly encourage everyone to share your thoughts and ideas with us, as this is crucial for us in the further development of SGS3.

Thank you for your support!
