BETA 1.44 Release Notes:

APP Updates:

Branding & UI:

• Updated DSX logo/icon to a simplified white D‑Pad.
• Refined DSX setup and improved launcher handling (including better admin rights handling).
• Updated “Dark UI cards” to a lighter, more modern look.

Core Improvements & Bug Fixes:

• Enhanced app settings loading and window focus on startup.
• Fixed issues with logging—corrected DLC ownership status logging and improved cache logs.
• Resolved a background hang in Device Manager caused by an awaited Task never completing.
• Fixed the Internet connection check loop when the two‑week cache expires with no connection.
• Updated DSX.Steam and Launcher projects with numerous bug fixes and performance improvements.

Achievements:

• Fixed issues with updating local achievement files.
• Resolved a bug that froze the app during achievement syncing on repeated splash screen invocations.
• Fixed a crash in DSX.Steam during SteamAPI shutdown when a callback timer was still active.
• Corrected data parsing in UpdateStat and enhanced logging between DSX and DSX.Steam.

DSX Console Companion App:

• Completely rebuilt the DSX Console with a modern GUI and support for multi‑command handling.

Controller Manager:

• Fixed duplicate entries in the controllers’ JSON configuration file.

Physical & Virtual Devices:

• Fixed DS4 motion data issues and corrected inverted DS4 emulation rumble values.
• Numerous enhancements in processing data sent to physical devices.

Controller Mapping Page:

• Redesigned multiple UI sections for improved navigation.
• Added options to select gyro/accelerometer modes for dual‑stick operation.
• Introduced UI adjustments for right stick pitch (X‑axis) settings.
• Implemented auto‑enabling of Z‑axis when accelerator mode is activated.
• Added options to disable output X/Y axes in both shortcuts and motion mode settings.
• Added a “None” option for touchpad/joysticks/motion sensitivity activation.
• Introduced Stick‑To‑Controller Buttons mode.

Haptics | Rumble Page:

• Removed redundant max rumble limits and haptic intensity settings (intensity now controlled via separate sliders for left motor, right motor, and speaker/headset).
• Implemented Audio‑to‑Rumble with selectable sound source and a digital/analog detection test.
• Enhanced digital audio processing for Audio‑to‑Haptics.
• Fixed audio haptics issues when using the controller’s sound device (bad looping resolved by muting speaker/headset).

Home Page:

• Fixed quick action updates so that virtual device selection no longer triggers errors.

LED Page:

• Redesigned with a new color picker.
• Updated battery LED animations with two modes (gradient colors and current battery level).
• Added a warning card for non‑DualSense controllers regarding DualSense LED features.

Installed Games Page:

• Added new list and grid views for installed games.
• Fixed an issue where renaming a game profile didn’t update all games assigned to that profile.

Virtual Device Options Page:

• Added DualSense (Audio Device) selection on both the Home and Virtual Device Options pages (requires an updated VirtualPad Driver coming at a later date).
• Introduced new haptics modes for virtual devices with audio (Disabled, Haptics‑to‑Rumble with gain, and Haptics Passthrough).
• Made the live data feed for virtual devices manually enabled.

My Controller Page (Previously Controllers Page):

• Improved the raw motion data UI.
• Added a green screen feature for enhanced live raw feedback.
