✨ Librarians, great news! A brand-new way to enjoy your library is here! ✨📚

You asked, and we listened—Relax Mode has arrived! No more time pressure, no more impatient customers—just pure, stress-free library management at your own pace. Play endlessly, build your library, and enjoy a more relaxed experience. Plus, we’ve made it possible to keep playing your save in Relax Mode after finishing Score Mode or facing a Game Over in Survival Mode! 📖

And that’s not all! Multiplayer furniture previews, new sorting options for the Checkout Screen, and many other improvements await. Check out the full update details below! 😊

We would like to sincerely thank all the players who submitted reports and helped us shape this update, both on Steam and in our Discord community! ❤️📚 Please continue sharing any bugs or feedback with us to help create the best possible experience.

📕 MAJOR UPDATES:

  • New Mode Added! “Relax Mode” Features the Following:
    • Endless: This new mode has no day limit. You can play and progress for as long as you want.
    • Customers’ Patience: No need to worry about it. Librarians can take their time to complete all activities at their own pace.
    • Book Arrivals: Daily book arrivals will adjust based on player progression in Relax Mode.
    • Book Returns: In Relax Mode, the info boxes in the Book Return minigame will remain stationary.
    • Customers: The number of concurrent customers in the Library will also be adjusted based on player progression in this new mode.

  • Keep Your Library: After a Game Over in Survival Mode or upon finishing Score Mode, your library will be preserved. You can continue playing in Relax Mode by loading your saved game.
  • Furniture Position Preview: While placing furniture in multiplayer, other players will now see a preview of its position.
  • Checkout Screen: You can now manually sort the list by Title, Author, or Genre by clicking the tabs at the top.

📒 MINOR UPDATES:

  • Added an icon for the Book Return counter when the stack of books is nearly full. Also, a system message inside the Book Return Screen now reminds librarians to remove books from the counter when it’s full.
  • Increased the max capacity of Help Zones from 4 to 6.
  • Fixed an issue where customers would lose patience due to their own noise.
  • Adjusted the behavior of the text box in the Checkout Screen to match other text boxes.
  • Added an SFX for both counters when a customer arrives at an empty queue.
  • Added an icon for both counters displaying the max queue size and the current number of clients waiting.
  • Adjusted the text in the Daily Report and Game Over screens to clarify the distinction between "Customers Helped" in the Help Zones and "Checkouts Completed."
  • Reworked the Game Mode screen to improve usability and accommodate the new mode.
  • To make it clearer that the game adjusts its pacing based on the number of players, a message about this has been added to the Game Modes screen.
  • Rebalanced Libridex unlock values for Score Mode.
  • Improved the unlock threshold messaging for all game modes in Libridex.

📘 BUG FIXES AND ADJUSTMENTS:

  • Fixed customer patience and level rewards display and balancing for 5+ players.
  • Fixed a bug in the automatic Book Return Counter where, if it was full, it could get stuck when a customer had multiple books to return.
  • Fixed a save bug that occurred at the beginning of a new day.
  • Fixed a save bug related to storing items while not being the host.
  • Fixed a bug where, while hosting a new room, the join room screen could briefly appear and disappear.
  • Fixed a bug that caused angry customers to throw books only at the Host in multiplayer.
  • Adjusted counter 3D models to ensure they are the same size.
  • Fixed text disappearing at certain window sizes.
  • Adjusted the corner shelf size for a better fit.
  • Fixed arrow flickering when building furniture in multiplayer.
