Son, don't let anyone ever tell you that trading cars is an easy job.

It's not a profession for the faint-hearted. It's not enough to just buy and sell. You have to anticipate. You have to calculate. You have to be able to look at a wreck and see either profit or disaster in it.

A dealer is a diplomat, a dealer is a market analyst, a dealer is the alpha and omega.

1. THE HUNT

In this business, you don't buy a car. You buy the difference, you buy the potential.
You look at the ads and you're not interested in what's pretty. Pretty is already priced in, you won't make a profit on pretty.
You're looking for something that someone else didn't have the patience or knowledge to see. You don't care about the price, I mean, obviously... you take what's cheaper, but you can also get something out of the slightly more expensive ones... but more on that later.

2. WORK WORK WORK

Once the car is in your possession, the guessing ends and the work begins, and there is a lot of work to be done, so it has to be organized properly. You don't do everything in one corner of the yard. Some things are done at the mechanical station, others close to the detailing. Every job has its place. If you start mixing things up, you waste time, and time is money. A well-organized workshop is half the battle. First, preparation, then the actual work.

3. THE POWER OF LETTING GO

Sometimes we get fooled by sweet words from the Offer, the customer plays us at our own game and pushes us into buying some old banger with no hope for a better tomorrow. Then you have to act decisively... Can't be repaired? I'll replace it. At first, it sounds expensive, but if you have contacts at nearby scrap yards, replacement parts fall from the sky... Well, you just have to match the color.

Community13 Aug 2026How about a makeover? How about a makeover? Work has its own rules. Every job comes with responsibilities, stress, and is simply exhausting. A mechanic struggles with bolts all day, a construction worker struggles to keep his balance, and a salesperson (undoubtedly the hardest job of all) struggles with customers and the whole world. But that doesn’t matter right now... What matters is that every job has time for a…Community24 Jul 2026🚗 Totally Legit Wheeler Seller DEVLOG #2Son... everyone has looked at a car and seen just a car at some point. It’s only with time that a person begins to see the story behind it. Dents, lies, bargains, and money. The rest comes naturally. 1. The Eyes of the Falcon 🦅 A car can lie better than its owner. Fresh paint, a washed engine, or shiny tires are often meant to distract you from what really matters. A visual inspection isn’t ab…Community28 May 2026Something's off...Dude, what is this mockery... Being a car dealer isn’t for everyone. Sometimes gems are hidden under dented metal. Other times, the prettier ones aren’t roadworthy.... Back in the day, suburban mechanics would bend over backward just to cut repair costs. I won’t deny they had a knack for it, but in this business, the dealer is the shark—a keen eye will spot any kind of shoddy work. And if you w…
