In addition to being a place of fun and adventure, New Eden brings amazing people together to do great things. Capsuleers in distant star systems have on multiple occasions banded together to raise money for worthy causes through PLEX For Good.
It’s back again, and this time it’ll be here for good! That’s right, it will remain open forever.
A new page is now up, making it easier than ever to make a PLEX donation. You simply need to log into your account, have at least one PLEX in your vault, and at least one active character.
To begin with, PLEX For Good will partner with two charitable organizations: Players vs. Cancer and ICE-SAR (Icelandic Search and Rescue). You can choose which one to donate to, or divide between both!
Icelandic Search and Rescue teams are powered by volunteers who answer around 1,800 calls a year and put it all on the line in one of the most hostile landscapes on Earth. They also lend their assistance across the globe, and were among the first foreign rescue teams on the ground following the 2010 earthquake in Haiti, among other things. The whole operation is run on donations and volunteer work. They are looking for new rescue ships now, to go out where no one else will. Your PLEX can help contribute to these new vessels.
Players vs. Cancer (PvC) brings gamers and streamers together to raise awareness and funds for lifesaving cancer research with a shared goal of ending cancer once and for all. Their fundraising efforts benefit the AACR (American Association for Cancer Research). More information on progress made in the last year, and what’s still left to do, can be found in their executive summary.
Moving forward, we will extend the generosity network of PLEX 4 Good to include more charitable organizations, including international partners.
PLEX For Good has already raised significant amounts for emergencies and charitable causes, and as a part of our vision for EVE forever, we wish to create a future where we are forever generous.

For each 12-month period that the PLEX FOR GOOD campaign is run, CCP ehf. will donate an equivalent cash amount for any PLEX donated to its Charitable partners, up to a maximum total of $200,000 (US), after which no further donations will be made under this campaign until the next 12 month period. We may amend, suspend, or end the campaign at any time, and the Charitable partner’s acceptance of funds does not imply any endorsement or partnership with us. Participation is not a charitable donation by you for tax purposes and CCP ehf. shall be the donor of record.
