Devlog #4 – Major Assembly Overhaul Update

This is not a small update. The entire assembly workflow has been rebuilt from scratch. If you played before, your old habits will not carry you anymore. The system now expects precision and attention instead of repetition.

Core Assembly System Rebuilt

The core assembly mechanics have been completely redesigned. Interactions are no longer shallow. You now need to properly execute each step of the process instead of relying on simple inputs.

Daily Tasks Reworked

The daily task system has been reworked. Tasks are no longer abstract UI elements. You now receive them directly from a worker, making the system part of the game world instead of a detached menu.

Technical Drawing Sheet Mechanic

A new technical drawing sheet mechanic has been added. Each sheet clearly defines which part goes where and which color it must have. The process now requires dragging and placing the correct part, then pressing and holding to apply color, and releasing at the correct moment. Timing and accuracy directly affect the outcome.

Automation Panel

An automation panel has been introduced. You can now control speed and focus, but this is not optional optimization. You are expected to balance these based on production requirements and expected toy quality. Poor decisions will immediately result in worse output.

Quality-Based Earnings

Earnings are now tied directly to quality. Both manual assembly and automated production influence how much money you make. Low-quality work leads to lower income, and the system enforces this consistently.

Alienation System

A new alienation system has been added. Relying too much on automation fills the alienation bar. Once it reaches a certain point, the player stops gaining experience entirely. This forces active engagement instead of passive play.

Future Systems Integration

These systems are designed to connect with upcoming features. Daily tasks and alienation will be tied to future events and meetings. Players will be able to influence task outcomes, modify positive and negative effects, and organize workers to shift conditions in their favor.

Tutorial System Reworked

The tutorial system has been fully restructured. Its flow and order now reflect the new mechanics. Outdated guidance has been removed and replaced with a progression that matches how the game actually works.

Next Update

For the next update, the focus is on navigation and orientation. The goal is to help players understand where they are and how to move through the world without breaking the atmosphere.

Community23 Jan 2026Devlog #3 – Fixing the FoundationsIt has been two weeks since the playtest was released, and during this time my main focus has been improving your overall experience. As the game’s art director, and as Güven, and also as part of a very small studio, I’ve been wearing multiple hats. Alongside development, I spent a significant amount of time fixing bugs, addressing issues you encountered, and repeatedly playing the game myself…Community4 Jan 2026Devlog #2 – Arbeiter Playtest is LiveWe are opening our first public playtest for Arbeiter, a survival management game about everyday working life. You play as a low income worker, planning your days, dealing with jobs, coworkers, burnout, solidarity, and hard choices. You can get fired, walk out, organize collectively, or try to build an independent path. This playtest starts with v0.2 , so missing features, bugs, and rough edges…Community5 Sep 2025Devlog #1 – So, We Just Opened Our Steam PageHey everyone, Last night we hit the button and opened Arbeiter’s Steam page. Feels a bit surreal, because this project started with nothing more than a few of us saying, “let’s just try it.” No budget, no big plan, just a handful of friends volunteering our time to make a game about workers, survival, and solidarity. What about Anomalistic Revolution? If you’ve been following us for a while, yo…
