Patch 1.0.1 Live Now

To our wonderful Atherton employees,

Great news! Our first patch is now live. Patch 1.0.1 focused on the two biggest issues, specifically the random soft locks that would halt story progress, and the inventory either duplicating or deleting items.

We’ve detailed a number of larger things below, and there are many smaller things in the background.

  • Elevator blocking progress. The elevator should now allow you to open the gates and function after death and loading a save.

  • The lab area should no longer have issues with objects being there that shouldn't be

  • The spider should now be teleporting and behaving properly in certain areas

  • Inventory should now longer duplicate items on death and load, and should properly save your inventory between saves and reloading

  • Inventory no longer occasionally locks while inspecting items

  • Security room door lock resolved

  • On loading a save or death, the player should not be triggering the Flashlight objective anymore

  • DLSS no longer turning itself off - this will help with overall performance

  • Additional signposting to highlight the need to regularly save the game manually

  • General performance improvements in a variety of small areas, to improve framerate

We have the next patch in review and so far the testing is looking good. We can’t provide an exact date for it going live but it will happen sometime next week.

Lastly, a note about the save system. Huntsman was always intended to be a challenging and tense experience, with the risk/reward of navigating areas full of giant spiders, juggling whether to find collectibles, etc. The original Resident Evil games were an enormous source of inspiration for Huntsman, and we are aiming for that same atmosphere of dread and anxiety. To have endless autosaves would rob players of that experience.

Forget. Everything. And. Run. FEAR the huntsman!

We’ve been going through everything and working with the community to identify the biggest issues and have pushed a new bug fix patch live today. It’s addressed a number of the recent issues across soft locks, inventory problems a…Community24 Jul 2026Player feedback surveyHappy Bug-Hunt Friday! With Update 1.2 we delivered a number of highly requested features, reviews went up, returns went down and our community seemed to love the work that had gone into the game. However we've recently had an influx of negative reviews calling out bugs, soft locks and overall optimisation, and we need to address those, with your help. We're asking long term and new players ali…Major update18 Jun 2026Huntsman Patch 1.2 & 30% Off Sale!Having moved from minor fixes to larger QoL changes with Patch 1.1 in April, we’re now revealing our favourite change yet with 1.2 - spider movement. With help from a specialist (thank you, Lincoln Margison!) we’ve overhauled how the spiders move, turn and tackle things like corners, objects and ceilings. Overall, this has added to the immersion and horror by removing instances of legs and abdo…
