The Dutiful is a new active trait, available in all Trait and Traits+ games with at least six pirates. When The Dutiful doesn't play in, they can activate their trait, controlling which event shows up for that day. When they activate their trait, the day's event will always be the Crew's Duty event for whatever rank The Dutiful is at the time of the event.
That means that their power allows them to force the following events:
Quartermaster: Demotion
Navigator: Plot a Course
Gunner: Conspiracy
Surgeon: Botch Job
Shipwright: Busywork
Cooper: In the Barrel
Cook: Suspicious Soup
Cabin Boy: Captain's Favourite
Stowaway: Overpower
After they've chosen to do this, The Dutiful will need to rest, and won't be able to use their trait for a minimum of three days. When the cooldown has expired, they'll be able to do it again, and there's no limit on the number of times they choose to activate their trait outside of the three day cooldown.
The Dutiful might have a plan for an event they want to trigger, but they also need to be careful - if their rank changes before the event triggers, maybe through a sneaky Brawler, they'll get the event for their new rank instead...
