Patch 1.1.0

Flipper Frenzy · published 30 Mar 2026, 20:36 UTC · build 22573594

All newsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

I’ve been heads down on a major upgrade—migrating the entire project from Unreal Engine 5.4 → Unreal Engine 5.7.

This wasn’t a simple upgrade… it meant rewriting a lot of core systems to align with the new API, reworking multiplayer flow, and untangling more edge cases than I’d like to admit.

There are still a few unknowns I’m actively working through:

  • Some graphical inconsistencies (lighting/shading differences between versions 👀)

  • Edge-case bugs that only show up when everything should be working

  • General polish + validation across different hardware

BUT—

Even with that, this has been a huge step forward for the game:

🔥 Better performance → noticeably higher FPS
📦 Massive size reduction → ~9GB → ~4GB
🌐 Stronger multiplayer → faster, near-instant level transitions + more reliable seamless sessions
⚡ Improved shader + PSO precaching → far fewer runtime stutters
🛠 System cleanup → a lot of long-standing issues finally resolved

Still tightening things up, but overall this is a big push in the right direction.

More updates (and some fun stuff) coming very soon. 🦭🔥
