Three Months of Continuous Work

Over the past three months, we’ve been quiet, but not inactive.
This period was defined by uninterrupted development, focused entirely on improving and refining the game. No distractions, just consistent work aimed at pushing everything closer to where it needs to be.

A New Name: Void Future: Hacking Protocol

As part of this process, we’ve decided to update the game’s name.
Void Future is now officially Void Future: Hacking Protocol.

This change gives the game a clearer identity and helps communicate its core focus more directly. It reflects what the experience is truly about: high-stakes hacking, systems under pressure, and navigating a hostile digital world. The new name better positions the game and sets clearer expectations for players discovering it for the first time.

A Fully Refreshed Steam Page

With the rebrand and the many changes made over the past months, it felt necessary to rethink how the game is presented.

The Steam page has been fully refreshed and now includes:

  • a new capsule image

  • new screenshots

  • a new gameplay trailer that better represents the current state, tone, and gameplay

This update reflects where the game actually is today, not where it was months ago.

New Trailer:

Visual Enhancements and UI Redesign

A large part of the work went into visual refinement and cohesion across the entire game.

This includes:

  • a new lighting pass across environments, improving mood, contrast, and readability

  • asset polishing for better consistency and visual clarity

  • new VFX, designed to better communicate systems, interactions, and tension

  • a completely revamped UI, rebuilt to be more readable, more diegetic, and more aligned with the game’s world

These changes aren’t just cosmetic, they directly affect how the game feels to play.

Original Music, Composed In-House

All music in the game is now fully composed in-house by an experienced composer.
This was an important step for us, allowing the soundtrack to be tightly integrated with the game’s pacing, atmosphere, and emotional beats.

We’ll be sharing more details about the music and soundtrack in a future update.

A New Demo, Available Now

All of the improvements above are now reflected in a new public demo, available on Steam right now.

If you’ve played the previous demo, the location may feel familiar, but:

  • content has been expanded and reworked

  • several sequences and interactions have changed

  • pacing, flow, and presentation have been significantly improved

Think of this demo not as a patch, but as a refined take on the same chapter, built using everything we’ve learned so far.

Looking Ahead: Steam Next Fest

We’re now preparing for the next Steam Next Fest, and this is where your support genuinely makes a difference.

If you enjoy what we’re building:

  • wishlisting the game

  • sharing it with others

  • talking about it during the festival

…all of it helps massively with visibility and reach.

We’re a small team, and every bit of support goes a long way.

Thank you for being part of this journey!
