Thank you to all players who reported issues with the game difficulty not feeling correct, after investigation we found that difficulty settings weren't always applied.
Starting matches after todays patch you should find that Beginner and Easy will now feel like a welcome step into the arena, and Brutal and Hard will be less considerate to the broken bones of your players.
We look forward to seeing your heated matches to become League Mode champion, in whichever difficulty you chose!

Below is the full list of fixes included in todays patch:
Fixed an issue where getting jump tackled could get the ball stuck in the air
Improved performance when switching to “Online” tab
Adjusted detection for the achievement “No Sick Days” to unlock correctly
Achievements “I can do this with my eyes closed”, “Clean Sheet”, “Goal? Never Heard of Them”, “Comeback Kid” and “Savaged” will now unlock correctly on all platforms
Fixed an issue where players would be stuck in a T-pose and not move
Difficulty selected will now be correctly applied
Team stats will now be displayed correctly if either team forfeits
Fixed an issue where the game could freeze if your team became fully depleted
Updated localisation
Fixed an issue where your armour style would sometimes change to your previous opponents
Fixed an issue where team stats would not update after a match
“Team Tactics” and “Line Up” will now change correctly after half time
Matches will no longer display as a draw if either player forfeits
Improved selection in the arena selection screen
Fixed an issue around changing a team’s name after changing game language
Fixed an issue around changing a team’s name after reconnecting to the internet
Team names will no longer generate blank using the randomise option
Fixed an issue where custom match length timer settings would not apply correctly
Fixed an issue where “Team Tactics” would not change correctly after half time
Incorrect team badges will no longer be shown
Fixed an issue that prevented accepting an Invite a Friend match invite while already playing a match
Disabling Half Time via “Edit Match” custom settings will now correctly apply
Speedball Stadium overview will now only display the correct number of Multiplier hoops
Toggling “Score Limit” and “Match Timer” on and off will now display the correct description
Fixed an issue where pressing buttons too quickly on the recruitment screen would cause the selection menu to not display correctly
Fixed an issue where returning to the “Select New Player” screen would cause the background to display incorrectly
Players will now be able to play as a League Mode team who have already won the championship
Players will now wear their own helmets in the final cutscene of League Mode
Points table will now reset correctly after completing League Mode and starting again
Selecting “Match History” on the “Next Match” screen will now function as intended
