Hi all! We've LOVED to see everyone enjoying the game. This is a quick patch with bugfixes and polish from community feedback. You can see the full changelog below.
New features
* You may occasionally find a Storage Chest while exploring now. It can store up to 5 items you'd like to keep safe until retrieving them in a future run.
Enemy changes:
* Reduced the base size of enemy projectile colliders by 25% to make them a little easier to dodge and weave between
* Apes are now smaller and their thrown barrel projectiles are 50% slower
* King Slime now has 500x more health
Level changes:
* Increased the frequency of crafting workstations in the Forest, Cemetery, and Chessland
* Apes in the Plains now start spawning at 15 minutes, rather than 10 minutes
UI changes:
* Added a Level Select button to the Game Over screen
* Wishing Wells now have a small coin toss animation when you make a wish
* The Level Select screen now shows a preview grid of which enemies can be found in that level (that you've discovered)
* New items you've discovered through the Wishing Well are now displayed in the Codex
General bugfixes:
* Fixed a bug where picking up two undiscovered items on the same frame would freeze the game
* Crafting with an upgraded weapon as an ingredient now preserves those upgrades on the newly-crafted weapon
* Fixed a bug where buying/selling items at merchants would reset your cursor position to the top of the list after each sale
* Fixed a bug where the game wouldn't pause if you discovered a new item on the same frame as discovering a new enemy
* The boss healthbar now properly shows when a boss spawns
* Items should no longer ever roll with +0 to any stat
* Boots now correctly prioritize Move Speed as a dominant stat instead of Projectile Speed
* Freeze Orbs now also freeze enemy projectiles, not just enemies
Controller fixes:
* The inventory button is now correctly mapped to Select and displayed in the HUD
* The pause menu is now triggered by the Start button instead of the cancel button
* The on-screen keyboard should now properly show when interacting with a Wishing Well on the Steam Deck
* Switching between a keyboard and a controller now automatically hides any mouse cursor so it doesn't interfere with controller UI navigation
* You can now hold up/down/etc to continuously navigate through menus instead of needing to repeatedly press to navigate
Other changes:
* Audio now defaults to 50% volume instead of 100%. You can increase it back to 100% in the settings.
* The most common sound effects should no longer overlap on top of each other.
