Episode 2 Is Almost Here

Hey everyone,

We know it's been a long road and you've been patient. Here's where we stand — no fluff, just numbers and facts.

Production Status:

Script: Done. Finalized, coded, and in QA.

Renders: Done. 2,000 images across two full in-game days.

Image Polish: Final pass happening on the last batch of scenes.

Animations: 120 of ~280 complete. Our animator is grinding through the remaining ones daily.

Translations: In progress across all supported languages.

Coding and QA: All scenes playable. Ongoing bug testing.

What Went Into This Release:

We want to give you a sense of the scale here, because Episode 2 is significantly larger than Episode 1 in every measurable way:

  • 2,000 images — every one rendered in Blender at 4K and polished through our AI-enhanced pipeline

  • ~280 animations — over 65% more animations than Episode 1

  • ~3 hours of total playtime — 60 to 90 minutes per playthrough depending on your choices, with substantial replay value across different paths

  • 30+ player choices — every decision shapes your experience, from major path splits to in-scene micro-choices that change what you see and how scenes play out

  • Corruption vs. Good Wife driven narrative — two distinct storylines that branch further into their own sub-paths, each with unique scenes, encounters, and outcomes you won't see on the other side

New Features and Improvements:

Beyond the story content itself, Episode 2 ships with a full suite of new features and quality-of-life improvements:

  • Voiced SFW Animations — A first for our game. Key story animations now feature English voice acting with a toggle in settings. Episode 1 animations have been remastered with voice as well.

  • Glamour Moments — 50 hidden collectible shots — 10 in Episode 1 and 40 in Episode 2. Find the eye icon during scenes to unlock exclusive images in the gallery.

  • Redesigned Corruption System — No more binary choices. Your corruption points now carry weight from scene to scene, and micro-choices within scenes create real consequences that ripple forward.

  • Animated Episode Selector — New visual menu for selecting episodes with progress tracking per path.

  • NSFW Scene Selector — Radial menu system for replaying unlocked scenes.

  • UI Overhaul — Wider textbox, adjustable text size, textbox opacity slider, auto-hiding quick menu, faster transitions throughout.

  • Gallery Expansion — Scenes and Glamour tabs, with EP1 and EP2 content organized by episode.

Release Date:

We are targeting next week. The exact day depends on our translation teams finishing their final passes. We refuse to ship with half-translated text — you deserve the full experience in your language from day one.

The moment translations clear review, we push the button. We will post the exact date as soon as we have it locked.

Only 40% of our sales come from English-speaking countries. Launching in English only is not an option — it would mean leaving most of our community behind. Translations and animations are being worked on in parallel so nothing is sitting idle.

A release sale starts February 28 and runs for one week. We are pushing to have Episode 2 out within that window.

One Last Thing:

This episode represents months of work from a small, dedicated team. We rebuilt systems, rewrote scenes, remastered Episode 1 content alongside new production, and pushed our pipeline harder than ever. We are proud of what is coming and we think you will feel the difference the moment you hit start.

Thank you for sticking with us. Almost there.

— The Sofia's Dark Fantasies Team
