Optimizations, Steam Overlay support, and various fixes!
Optimizations!
Various optimizations have been applied to the loading of thumbnails, making it an order of magnitude faster. This is directly noticeable in the startup-time of AI-VJ. We've quietly rolled this out last week already, as it seemed like something that would benefit people straight away, while being too small to base a full update message around
Steam Overlay support!
AI VJ now supports the Steam Overlay. This provides you with several tools. Most useful are the screenshot manager, and the browser. Especially the browser will allow you to open store, and DLC pages, directly inside the overlay, while already being logged in to Steam
Also we need the Steam Overlay for something neat that will be coming soon!
You can access the Overlay with Shift + Tab
Bugs Fixed
Several bugs were fixed, and more small improvements made:
- When using the scroll-bars, the RTS-style scrolling would often engage, resulting in downwards / leftwards movement that wasn't expected (Anne). Fixed now!
- Slow loading thumbnails (Habbening, Anne, and others) mentioned above. Fixed!
If you reported (other) bugs, we're keeping a list and working through them! Please keep reports coming! We won't know if you don't tell us (best place to do so is in our Discord)
