And now for something completely different. I've always wanted to say this unironically — it's a feature, not a bug.
Many of you have been wondering if suspects shooting at you through doors is a correct game mechanic in SWAT Commander, so we wanted to provide a mini-tutorial to explain it a little better.
Basically, violent suspects in SWAT Commander can take a shot at you through a closed door even if they don't see you. Since they can hear you, this sort of incident can happen if you don't follow protocol and move noisily around right behind the door. To prevent this, equip your Tactical Mirror, which puts you into a more stealthy mode and try to stay by the sides of door frames whenever you can.
The upcoming Game Customization update that you can see in the roadmap above is going to include an option to turn off the door shot mechanic completely. Based on your feedback, we can also consider tweaking this mechanic further to improve your experience.
What's more, playing SWAT Commander on the 'Easy' difficulty level already disables this mechanic in the current game version!
