We are Wildfire Game, the team behind the Eastern Exorcist series. Having spent years deeply rooted in hardcore Eastern-themed games, many players might wonder: why the sudden shift to a cartoon art style?
The answer is simple: we wanted to break the stereotype that "Eastern culture" must always be synonymous with ancient scrolls and traditional aesthetics. We believe Eastern culture is multifaceted—it’s found in the elegance of ink-wash paintings, but it’s also alive in the vibrant energy of the marketplace. It lives in thousand-year-old texts, and it lives in the pure, simple joys of childhood memories.
This was our vision for Buddy Bug: to step outside the traditional framework and use a "bug’s eye view" to capture the daily romance of Chinese life. Through this miniature adventure, we hope global players can feel the warmth and soul of our culture.
