We've been hard at work over the last few weeks, and we're thrilled to release a huge update focused on empowering our community with a full Level Editor and integrating Steam Workshop, alongside many quality-of-life improvements, bug fixes, and new features.

New Content

  • New Levels: Added 20 challenging new levels, bringing the total number of official levels to 40.

Level Editor (Major Focus)

The bulk of this update was dedicated to building and polishing a complete level editor, giving you the tools to create and share your own challenges\\!

  • Core Editor: Initial implementation for tile placement with bounds, automatic wall logic, decorations, jump tile direction selection, and custom tile icons.

  • UI & UX: Refined editor user interface, added a preview cursor with an indicator for invalid placements.

  • Save/Load System: Full save/load flow with an integrated level browser, per-entry overrides, "save as" functionality with overwrite warnings, and a file browser with delete options.

  • Undo/Redo: Full support for Ctrl+Z (Undo) and Ctrl+Y / Ctrl+Shift+Z (Redo).

  • Testing Flow: Improved test play flow, now showing the lose menu with Retry and Back to Editor options.

Steam Workshop Integration

The Level Editor is only half the fun\\! We've fully integrated Steam Workshop so you can share your creations and play levels made by the community.

  • Upload: Workshop upload functionality with support for preview screenshots, including error reporting and an asynchronous flow.

  • Browser: A complete Workshop browser with preview images and a download flow. Subscribed items are now displayed, and you auto-subscribe when publishing a level. The Workshop button is now disabled (with a hover hint) when you have no subscribed items.

Achievements

  • Achievements: Extended Steam achievements to cover all 40 levels, created new achievement icons, and added an achievement for viewing the credits scene.

New Skip System

  • Level Skip System: Earn 1 skip point for every 3 unique level completions. This allows you to bypass difficult levels. The skip button is disabled for levels you have already completed or skipped.

Main Menu & UI

  • Scroll Views: Added scroll views to all level selection panels for easier navigation.

  • Loading Screen: Introduced a new loading screen with a progress bar and asset preloading.

Gameplay & Bug Fixes

We've addressed several issues to improve gameplay stability and visual fidelity:

  • Wall Auto-Tiling: Improved automatic wall logic with better corner neighbor support.

  • Trap Fixes: Fixed issues where the last trap sequence step events were lost, where falling tiles incorrectly disabled trap visuals, and where skull/spiderweb visuals remained visible on falling tile drops. Also fixed falling trap prefab registry type names.

  • Abyss Tiles: Fixed a bug that made abyss tiles walkable at runtime.
