Hello fellow Catizens!
First off, we at Studio Moka want to say a massive thank you for wishlisting CitaDrill! Your support means the world to us and we’re thrilled to have you onboard as we dig deeper into development.
Monthly Updates Incoming
We’re excited to announce that starting this month, we’ll be posting monthly game progress updates here on Steam! These will cover new features, design insights, and behind-the-scenes details on the world of CitaDrill. So without further ado…
What We’re Working On
Hey there! As the producer at Studio Moka, I’m commandeering this post for a moment to talk about our recent progress, which is something I’ll continue doing from now on!
Over the last few weeks, we’ve been hard at work fleshing out our mid-game content with new Projects, Buildings, Upgrades, Modules and Narrative Encounters. Our Narrative Designer has created a fresh new story outline that has us pumped to flesh out the world with deeper lore, and interesting and consistently bizarre new characters you’ll be able to encounter over the course of the game. We’ve been adjusting the way lighting works in the deep!

For the next month, we’re doubling down on a complete UI overhaul, adding new Drill Captains, integrating brand new music for each of our biomes (which are also getting facelifts themselves), and settling on a direction for that big bad Final Boss™. The members of our small studio are super excited by all these new endeavours, and we can’t wait to post next month’s update to show where we’re at on all that. Stay tuned!
