We’re excited to roll out update 1.3.8 for Coromon on Steam, featuring several quality-of-life improvements, balance changes, and stylish new skins for both your Coromon and character.

Game Updates

  • Scorching Sands now always triggers a heatwave during battle

  • Escape Flashes are available in shops after reaching Donar Island

  • XP Chips become available in shops upon arriving at Ixqun

  • The Rebirth Trait will now be activated on higher difficulty modes (limited to one time)

  • Fixed an issue with a spawn point in the Mescher Realm

  • Skill Flashes can no longer be sold

  • Using the LuxBoard now contributes to your step count

  • Various minor bug fixes and general improvements

Style Shop Updates

For your Coromon

  • Plasma Lumon: crackling with high-voltage flair

  • Koi Flowish: elegant, aquatic, and serene

  • Swamp Ruptius & Swamp Mooby: mud-soaked and menacing

For your character

  • Spinner-inspired outfits to match your Coromon-catching passion

  • The Chalchiu outfit adds a splash of elemental finesse

  • New Visor and Fancy Glasses styles

Stat Adjustments

  • Tinshel, Sanscale, and Seraphace lines: base stats improved

Trait Availability Changes

  • Moffel line can now get Motivated instead of Escapist

  • Kyreptil line: now eligible for Good Aim

  • Swurmy line: no longer compatible with Inner Fire

  • Seraphace line: now eligible for Creeping Stare

  • Ruptius line: can now get Fully Rested

  • Houndos line: can now gain Sharp Claws

  • Shimshell line: can now gain Fast Metabolism

  • Sanscale line: can now gain Escapist

  • Armado line: can now gain Caffeinated instead of Thick Skin

  • Taddle line: can now gain Gourmand

  • Droople line: can now gain Water Cooled instead of Gourmand

Skill Learnset Changes

  • Taddle line: now learns Empowering Grounds and Splatter, but doesn’t learn Splash anymore

  • Purrgy line: now learns Bewitch

  • Ruptius line: now learns Side Swap and Inversal

  • Sanscale line: now learns Illusion Burst

  • Tinshel line: now learns Ignore Pain and Backstab

  • Lumon line: now learns Spark Disc

  • Droople line: now learns Upshift

  • Moffel line: now learns Mud Ball

  • Seraphace line: now learns Horror Mask

  • Lunarwulf line: now learns Frantic Mask

Skill Flash Access

  • Frantic Mask: now available to Lumon, Lemobi, Moffel, Pyrochick, Buzzlet, and Silquill lines

  • Horror Mask: now available to Purrgy and Droople lines

  • Power Nap: now available to Decibite and Cubzero lines

  • Zen Cure: now exclusive to Slitherpin, Lumon, Buzzlet, and Nibblegar lines, still naturally learned by Flowish line

  • Rubber Web: now exclusive to Fiddly, Mino, Lunarpup, Silquill, and Arcta lines

  • Spectral Lattice: now exclusive to Houndos, Lunarpup, Silquill, and Arcta lines

  • Splash: now exclusive to the Swampa and Fiddly line, still naturally learned by the Cubzero line

  • Ninja Stance: nog longer learned by Decibite line

  • Moffel and Decibite lines: no longer learn Reconstruct

  • Toxic Cloud: now available to Kyreptil line, but no longer to Droople line

Trait Updates

  • Motivated: updated stat decreases when enhanced

  • Fast Metabolism / Fast Metabolism+: now increase Sp. Atk by 1 stage (was 2)

  • Soul Eater: now boosts based on the user’s highest stat instead of opponent’s

  • Glacial Affinity / +: damage boost capped at 20% / 30%

  • Conductor, Flare Intake, and Inner Fire: now apply 25% damage reduction in their base Trait

  • Tough Feet: now blocks all entry hazard effects (not just damaging ones)

  • Tough Feet + / ++: now recover 10% / 20% SP, but no longer remove hazards

  • Brave Trait: no longer affected by Menacing Trait or Scary Vision Skill

  • Escapist++: now boosts Speed and Accuracy by 1 stage (was Speed +2)

  • Disrupting Aura / + /++: now depletes 5 / 7 / 7 SP instead of 2 / 5 / 5

  • Fully Rested + /++: now reduces 50 / 60% instead of 60 / 75% damage

  • Thick Skin++: now blocks Cut damage instead of Poison

Skill Updates

  • Detonate: power increased from 130 to 135 and accuracy from 85 to 90

  • Frantic Mask: no longer always goes last

  • Mud Ball: power increased from 50 to 75, SP cost increased from 4 to 6

  • Ghastly Nap: now lowers Evasion instead of Accuracy

  • Horror Mask: health cost decreased from 25% to 15%

  • Frigid Barrier: now always goes first

  • Cloud Burst: now lowers Evasion instead of Accuracy

  • Cloud Burst: power increased to 55, accuracy increased to 100

  • Power Nap: now applies Curse instead of Drowsy

  • Frost Feathers: now does physical damage and makes contact

  • Shared Fate and Final Gift now fail when used consecutively

  • Iceberg Sweep now always goes last
