We’re very excited to finally announce that Deviation Game (formerly outdraw.AI) is OUT NOW!
Starting development back in pre-ChatGPT 2022, the game has steadily evolved from an experimental art piece to a full-fledged party game! Of course things took longer than expected, so we really appreciate everyone’s patience and support throughout development. While the core content is finally complete, we have decided to launch via Early Access. As you probably can’t stop hearing about, AI has changed a lot over the last 3 years. In fact, we’ve had to change the structure of the game multiple times due to how much the tech has evolved. As such, launching via Early Access will allow us to keep evolving the game both with the tech, but more importantly, with your feedback. Enhancing human creativity and expression has always been the purpose of the project, and so it's vital that we can continue to listen to the community and keep improving the game to make it the best it can be.
In addition, you can also look forward to more content in the future including more languages, game categories, Steam achievements, a “Global Stats” page to see how other people around the world fare against the AI, and the option to choose which specific AI model to go up against. Overall we think the Early Access will last a few months, and aim for a refined release around April 2026. But for now, we’re incredibly excited for you all to finally just play it!
