Hello Steam community! This is the first time I've written a dev diary here, but it's just because we've been so busy. We're a tiny team on a tiny budget, but we're dedicated and working on the game all the time.
In the future I'll try to post here occasionally, perhaps putting up some of the dev diaries I wrote in the past, as well as giving you some info on where the game is going.
First, a bit of business, before the fun announcements. We don't want to commit just yet to a specific date for the next update, but the longer it takes the more new content will be in it, so don't feel too bad about the delay. We just need time to cook.
I'll try to be as transparent as I can; due to Steam's terms of service I can't really talk about crowd funding or anything like that, but just rest assured that we are putting together new builds with new content every month like clockwork, so the game development is progressing in the background even when you don't hear about it. (Though you can certainly get way more news on our Discord server!)
If it were entirely up to me to do it then we'd do even less frequent Steam updates because I like it when a patch can be really huge and contain loads of stuff, and more frequent updates doesn't mean more content, it just means the content is more spread out. Oh, and managing Steam updates does take time and effort for us too, of course. But we know that it gets frustrating for Steam players to wait too long so we need to make sure we put out new updates here from time to time. Some players are very anxious for more!
A big new feature we've already implemented is a new character: Queen Fina!
The legendarily beautiful Queen of the realm will soon be gracing Greenwood with her august and curvaceous presence. You'll need to make sure that your castle's hospitality is fit for a royal visit! (Or at least have enough wine in the cellar to get her interested.)
As for upcoming romance, Beth is in the spotlight in the new scenes recently implemented. It's time to discover more about her personality, her past, her beliefs and her... desires.
There's a new Delia BJ animation that we've implemented, so that's something to definitely look forward to.
And we've been making a lot of gameplay improvements to balance and adjusting features, to make the whole experience more fun and satisfying. (That's an ongoing project, obviously!)
I know some people have been wondering what the long term plans for the game's structure are, so just in brief, yes, there will be full romance arcs for each of the ladies, and there will also be a complete story mode. Once the story is over, you'll be able to continue to play in post-game, to unlock anything else. We also intend to add some high level stuff to grind for if you want to hang about in the end game mode (new text and voicing for existing scenes, new outfits, etc.).
The wardrobe is actively in development, which will allow you to equip the special outfits you can buy at the shop. This is a bigger feature to implement than you might think, because we need to finish all the animated character sprites (the most complex animations in the game!) and implement them throughout the game. We're close to being able to enable Beth's wardrobe options at least, and then we'll phase in other characters as we complete them.
Bathing with a lady (or more than one!) will probably be possible fairly soon, as we have the animation mostly finished. This will be a fun way to pass the time by selecting one of the women to join you in the bath and get the lord good and clean.
New sexy animations are on the way too - we've got multiple complete for several different ladies, and we just need to get them all set up.
