Hotfixing & Technical Updates

Hello, Martians! 🔴

Updated message from HQ:

Hotfix v1.0.4 is now live on public_testing branch!

We worked for the whole Sunday and the New Patch v1.0.4 is now available on public_testing branch on Steam! We didn't have time to test everything in it, but if no major issues are found it will be switched as the new default build very soon. Meanwhile you can play it on public_testing (you can change it in Steam preferences).

Changelog:

  • Fixed issues with saving the position of target points and items in campaign mode

  • Fixed issues where players were unable to access Heavy Rover's inventory from an old save.

  • Fixed missing translations in some places (re-downloaded translation sheet)

  • Fixed audio message from ITS-3 on Olympus

  • Fixed readability of alerts on pop-up tips

  • and more!

This is just the beginning of many improvements, features and QoL updates we are planning to add to the game. Stay tuned, and thank you for playing! 🚀

Mission Status: 1.0 Launch & Immediate Technical Update

Let’s be direct: the 1.0 launch and the initial hotfixes haven't been as smooth as we intended. In the final push for the 1.0 release, the complexity of the project combined with our small team size meant that certain issues slipped through the cracks.

We’re not here to make excuses – we’re here to fix them. We love this project and we’re determined to make it the Martian experience you expect. Our team is currently operating at full capacity to address your reports and stabilize the build. We believe sincerity is what you, as the community expect from us now.

Current Development Priorities

Campaign & Quests - a fix is currently in internal testing and will be deployed as soon as it's verified.

Vanishing Rover Inventory - the culprit has been found, we are resolving this lissue now.

Container Issues we've found the cause and we're preparing fix.

Resource Balance (Chlorine) We hear your feedback regarding the Chlorine grind. We are looking into a quick adjustment of building requirements and other solutions. For the upcoming builds, we also plan to increase yields and redistribute Chlorine across more rock types and, if this is possible for a quick implementation, adding elements for spawning in crushers. We'll be informing you about details

  • Pro-tip: Remember that the Spectral Detector Tier 2 allows you to check rock compositions, which is vital for efficient resource gathering in the current balance.

Vehicles Stuck in Terrain we've found the cause and we're preparing quick fix aims to stabilize vehicle physics and prevent clipping issues upon loading.

Our Strategy Moving Forward

We are pushing hotfixes as fast as we can safely verify them. Our priority is clear: fix "game-breaking" issues first. Once the foundation is solid, we will immediately move on to balancing tweaks and general polish.

We’re hotfixing the game as fast as we can to get it where it needs to be. Keep the feedback coming; we are listening and we are working.

Thanks for your continued support and for reporting everything you find. You can find us here and on our Discord server.
