Sanguine – Early Access Patch 1.1.3

Sanguine · published 1 Dec 2025, 23:16 UTC · build 21013397

All newsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

Hello Watchers!

Patch 1.1.3 is here, bringing a mix of key fixes, quality-of-life improvements, weapon tuning, UI updates, and the first public release of our new side mode: Survivor Stories. Thank you so much to everyone who’s been reporting bugs, sharing feedback, and leaving reviews—your support is huge and genuinely helps push development forward.

✨ Fixes & Updates

• Added Knockback System (Major Update)
A big new improvement to crowd control: knocking back an enemy now sends them flying into any enemies behind them, pushing the group back and giving you a clearer path to escape. This should reduce frustration in tight or overwhelming encounters.

• Jack Tape #1 Viewing Fix
You can no longer view Jack Tape #1 from outside the room.

• Farm Statue Fix
The statue in the Farm now disappears once the puzzle is completed and will no longer block Eli.

• UMP Handling Tuning
Improved UMP recoil and handling—overall smoother, more accurate, and easier to land shots.

• Knife Low Swing Improvement
The knife’s low swing has been tuned to more reliably hit enemies close to the ground. (The animation polish for this is coming in an upcoming patch.)

• Localization Updates
Newspaper entries #2 and #3 are now fully localized.

• Updated Main Menu UI
Refinements to the main menu for a cleaner experience.

• Inventory Update
Your character’s name is now displayed in the inventory screen.

🩸 New Side Mode: Survivor Stories (Early Version Released!)

Survivor Stories is an all-new, fast-paced Arcade mode built around timed runs, randomization, routing, and survival. While it is designed to be unlocked after completing Kris’s campaign, you can access it early right now to help shape its design during development.

How Survivor Stories Works

  • Enter a dedicated map with a strict countdown.

  • Start each run in the Shop, where time is paused and you can buy/recycle/store items using Blood Shards.

  • Complete the map-specific objectives and escape before the timer hits zero.

  • Your remaining time determines your final Rank (leaderboards coming later).

  • Each run features randomized enemy spawns, objects, containers, and rewards, keeping every attempt fresh.

What’s Included in This Patch

  • Characters Kris and Jack are available immediately.

  • The first map, Diner / Forest, is ready to play with unique size, objectives, and elements.

  • More characters, larger maps, and additional mechanics will roll out over time.

  • Future updates will introduce Steam Leaderboards, broken down by map and character.

  • Larger maps will include expanded objectives and utilize more tools from Kris’s campaign.

Survivor Stories is in active, iterative development—your feedback right now is incredibly valuable and will directly shape its evolution.

🔧 Coming Later This Month

Here’s what’s already planned for the next update (1.1.4):

  • Survivor Stories balancing & tuning based on community feedback

  • Fixed Quick Turn ability

  • Additional animation fixes

  • Achievements for Survivor Stories

  • More audio additions for the mode

  • General bug fixes, polish, and performance updates

🙏 Thank You

A huge thank you to everyone who’s purchased the Early Access build, left a review, or sent in feedback. Every message genuinely helps guide development and keeps this project moving forward.

More updates soon—and good luck out there, Watcher out!
