As long as there is an afterlife, we’re always on shift! Due to that, even when we’re not updating you about it, we’re still being worked to the bone.
So let’s talk about what we’ve been up to (and what’s to come)!
It’s not always Sunny in Philadelphia
Even though I have no idea where Philadelphia is, the same applies now to our regions! Weather will be a thing now, and you better be prepared to deal with it in all its chaotic glory. Due to our bizdev team’s constant efforts of negotiating with the weather gods, the living souls of this kingdom will now not only be plagued with us, but also by different possible weather conditions! This will have some effect on your work as well, so be mindful and prepare your bag carefully for the trip. And maybe start carrying an umbrella or two…
Stage Selection Screen
We have continued to work on the information available to you during Stage Selection, so we’re further improving that screen. Besides more info and lore exposition, you’ll also be able to check the weather forecast for each stage before you enter. Is there a weather condition that will ever give me a break?
New Souls to Reap
The Mines are now better guarded. Be ready to face new enemies, more of those pesky adventurers, and even a new hero! That’s right, no more fighting Boris, The Destroyer wherever you go (the poor man needed a break).
More danger for us means more souls for the company, right?
Weapon System Refactor
Ok, this one is a little hard to explain… So let's just say that our R&D department worked really hard on arcanely reengineering how each Spell, Weapon and Evolution works in order to make sure they are more efficient, customizable and unique. This means less bugs, better performance, and the ability to make more fun stuff in the future! This may not sound like it, but it is a huge deal! It’s also a weight off our shoulders, as it has been quite a headache for many moons now. Anyway, you’re welcome!
E-Port System Implementation
Getting from point A to point B in our incredibly large and beautiful office can take a little while sometimes. And since we understood that resulted in LESS PRODUCTIVITY, we had to do something. Introducing the “Employee Teleportation System”, E-Port for short (and branding). Now, with the quick use of a button and selecting the intended destination, you’ll be automatically E-Ported to that exact location in our lobby!
No more being forced to dash through our awesome lobby to do stuff, just E-Port away!
There ain’t no rest for the wicked, and that’s us! And since we are legally obligated to keep working, you can join our eternal toil! Don’t forget that we hold regular playtests, besides the ever-constant bragging competition in our Discord server. Your presence in it, just like in our completely fun happy hour gatherings, is mandatory!
