Thank you for playing While Waiting! We've been closely monitoring your feedback and working hard to bring improvements, bug fixes, and updates. Here’s what’s new in our first post-launch update:
General Fixes & Improvements
Fixed an issue where the game screen would display incorrectly if your system resolution was smaller than the resolution set by the game.
Added mouse scroll support for the level selection panel.
After finishing the True Ending, the "Start" button on the title screen will now appear as "Start?" You can retrieve your notebook by clicking it.
Level-Specific Fixes & Adjustments
Level 003 - Wait for the toaster: Fixed a bug where thrown cereals landed in the wrong position.
Level 014 - Wait for the award to be announced: Fixed a bug where the player character could clip out of the area.
Level 025 - Wait for the shooting star: The "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" sticker can now be unlocked with the correct sequence of tapping, rather than drawing a correct sequence of lines.
Level 029 - Wait for the admission email: Fixed a bug where email items sometimes overlapped.
Level 035 - Wait for your turn to buy lunch: The "My Burgeria" sticker now unlocks after making one burger instead of five.
Level 043 - Wait to forget her: Reduced the time length and made stickers easier to obtain.
Level 054 - Wait for her to arrive: Fixed various bugs related to the popcorn machine.
Level 067 - Wait for the vicar to finish the talk: The "I read carefully" sticker is now easier to unlock, with additional hints.
Level 095 - Wait for your daughter to visit you: Increased hand movement speed; fixed a bug where hands in different split screens moved simultaneously; reduced overall level duration.
Level 098 - Wait to finish the IV drip: Reduced overall level duration.
For Content Creators:
The music in While Waiting consists of open-source, public domain classical pieces. We've done our best to avoid tracks that could trigger copyright claims, but since classical compositions can sound very similar, some may still get muted when posting videos on YouTube or Twitch. To prevent this, we recommend streaming with the background music turned off.
