BETA 1.40 Release Notes:

APP Updates:

• Screen Reader Accessibility: Initial support for screen readers has been added to improve accessibility. (Work in progress for full app compatibility.)
• Badge Alert Update: In-app badge alerts now align with the priority-based alert style.
• Software Rendering Option: Added the ability to use software rendering instead of hardware rendering. This allows the GPU to focus on gaming performance. Configure this in Settings -> Behavior -> Use Software Rendering
• Improved first time setup

Achievements:

• Sync Improvements: Resolved syncing issues between DSX and the Steam API.
• Keymaster Achievement: Added the missing Keymaster Achievement to the Achievements Page.

Action System:

• Profile Shortcuts Update: Added a Cycle Profiles option to Profile Shortcuts. Note: Further updates are needed to ensure this option applies consistently across all profiles for seamless cycling.

DSX Console Companion App:

• Dependency Fixes: Fixed issues causing the app to fail due to missing dependencies.
• Help Commands: Improved formatting for the help command outputs.

Motion Enhancements:

New Motion Features:
• Motion-to-Mouse.
• Motion-to-Left Joystick.
• Motion-to-Right Joystick.
• Motion-to-Both Joysticks.
• Motion-to-Keyboard.
• Axis Customization: Added options to invert X, Y, and Z axes and swap between X-Y, X-Z, and Y-Z axes.
• Gyro Data Improvements: Enhanced gyro data handling for virtual DualShock 4 and DualSense controllers.

Button Mappings Page:

• Joystick Deadzones: Added visual horizontal and vertical lines to indicate joystick deadzones.
• Flick-Stick Mode: Implemented joystick-to-flick-stick mode for each joystick.
• Auto-Hold Mode: Motion-to-Mouse and Joystick-to-Mouse now support Auto-Hold Mode, allowing Left or Right Mouse buttons to stay pressed during movement for games requiring click-and-move aiming.
• Shortcuts: Added joystick-to-flick-stick and all motion-to-x shortcut modes.

Controllers Page:

• Touchpad Feedback Fix: Resolved app freezing and crashing issues when viewing raw feedback for the touchpad.
• Motion Fix: Addressed motion update issues to ensure values refresh properly.

Home Page:

Redesign: Updated layout when a controller is connected, introducing:
• Improved controller status and selection.
• Quick controller actions for profile changes, emulation mode adjustments, and preset modifications—without leaving the Home Page.
• Added app-related info, including a "What’s New" changelog and DLC details.

Installed Games Page:

• Game Detection: Improved detection of games for Game Profiles.
• Focus-Based Profile Switching: Added an option to change profiles when a game window gains focus.
• Game Profile Icon: Added a Game Profile Attached icon on game covers to visually indicate which games have an attached Game Profile.
• Persistent Filters: Filter options are now saved to app settings, ensuring your preferences are retained even after restarting the app.

Mod System Page:

• New Mod Added: Control Ultimate Edition has been included in the mod list.

Virtual Device Page:

• Double Input Fix (Experimental): Introduced an option to fix double input issues. This feature attempts to restart the controller while keeping it in the HidHide list. It addresses cases where a controller cannot be hidden due to interference from other programs or games.
