Road to 1.0 + Release Date Announcement

Hey there Thorns!

We’ve been hard at work developing Every Day We Fight and are currently working toward our 1.0 release: which we’re thrilled to announce. We’re leaving early access and launching on October 22nd, 2026!

We have some information on what to expect from 1.0 (more on that below), but to summarize what we’ve accomplished so far throughout early access:

  • Difficulties for every level. More accessible for new players, more hardcore for those who want it.

  • In-game saves!

  • Tons of QOL changes: UX/UI, fast travel, click-to-move, etc.

  • Performance improvements

  • Improved balance and pacing

  • Hall of Fame & Iron Man Mode

You asked, we listened. As a result, Every Day We Fight is so much better from when we entered early access. The team thanks everyone who provided feedback and supported us thus far. The game wouldn’t be where it’s at without all of you.

Now, without any further ado, here’s what to expect from 1.0:

Abridged 1.0 Notes

Bigger, better, and more fleshed out at every level.

  • 200% more mission variety

  • 70% more guns

  • 100% more gun parts

  • Increased level variety

  • Significantly improved content randomization for each run to keep things fresh

  • Revamped Reward System

  • New “Forever War” game mode

  • New mission types & reworked Heat Meter

—Detailed 1.0 Notes

New Guns

  • Boomer: explosive launcher

  • Shredder: HMG, accuracy climbs the longer you hold the trigger

  • Roaster: flamethrower, sets everything alight (Pictured below)

  • Stumper: shotgun sidearm

  • Riptide: full-auto pistol sidearm

New Gun Parts and Customizations
52 new parts! Including 13 epic parts with unique perks. For example, land 3 headshots in a row and your next bullet nukes the area. That kind of thing.

New Mission Types: Ambush & Sabotage
0.9 was "kill everyone, move on." Not anymore.

  • Sabotage: push your Heat as high as you dare for better loot

  • Ambush: bring Heat back down when things get too hairy

Think of heat as a risk/reward mechanic. High heat means harder fights and better drops. Low heat… you get the picture. Now you control the dial instead of just watching it climb.

Content Randomization
Combat zones reshuffle every run. Think you know what’s around that corner? Guess again. Each run offers new challenges to overcome.

Forever War Mode
Beat the campaign then keep on going. Clear zones, kill bosses, and survive as difficulty ratchets up permanently. Keep your gear or reset to level 1 with just a dart gun and teleporter. However you want to play - the choice is yours!

Completely Reworked Progression
Progression is linked to combat and rewards are offered after every fight. There’s still plenty to explore for those who want to, but it’s no longer necessary to continue progressing your characters.
