Patch 0.10.2.0 - Global Map Events
This patch marks the latest major update for the game leading up to its release. I was not entirely satisfied with how global map events were implemented, so I’ve completely reworked that aspect of the game. At this stage, the game includes all the content I intended to have.
I don’t like doing this, but I must humbly ask players: if you enjoy the game, please leave a review on our Steam page. It's incredibly important for the game’s lifecycle and visibility. I apologize for making this request and appreciate any support you can give.
Now, I need to focus on marketing and improving the game's visibility—this includes reworking trailers, updating screenshots, refining descriptions, and more.
Global map events now trigger less frequently, but they no longer have any disadvantages. While these events still have requirements to pass or fail, failing an event will no longer result in penalties. Events are now divided into seven different types, easily recognizable by their event model. Additionally, better party vehicles offer improved reveal complexity attribute, which influence the quality of rewards players can receive. You can learn more about the new event system in the excellent NeverTooOld's guide. (Please note that it may contain some minor spoilers, but I highly recommend checking it out)
Followers Class Selection: When starting a new game, players can now pick classes for followers. This change reduces the randomness of party generation slightly.
New Research - Advanced Alchemy: A new branch of research has been added, along with three new potions and their corresponding recipes.
Crafting Lesser Essence: Players can now craft a new item called "Lesser Essence," designed to adjust potions in a similar way to how weapons can be upgraded.
Orc & Elf Origins Fix: The origins for orcs and elves have been corrected. For existing characters, players will need to respec them to apply the changes.
New Ring Slot Items: Items for the ring slot are now available, improving the proficiency of workers. These items can only be obtained through events.
New Party Buffs: A new category of party buffs has been introduced. These buffs last up to one week or until the first battle—whichever comes first.
Rebalanced Loot Rewards: Rewards from global map events have been rebalanced to improve player experience and progression. Thank you for playing and for your continued support!
