Hello and welcome in! It’s been just over a month since we announced A Storied Life: Tabitha, so we thought now would be the perfect time to introduce you to some of the team and show you what we’ve been up to recently.
In the first of our series of dev vlogs, Terry Goodwin (Lead Designer & Game Director) and Cherish Goldstraw (Writer & Narrative Designer) talk about how they came up with the idea for the game, the inspiration behind it, and what they hope you’ll experience while playing A Storied Life: Tabitha.
Shortly after announcing the game, some of the team headed to Gamescom to preview the game to members of the media. This was so interesting and rewarding, seeing people getting hands-on with the game for the first time, gauging their reactions and having them share their personal stories with us afterwards.
If you’d like to read any of the press-previews mentioned in the video, you can find them below:

Development update
Over the last month, the team have been putting a lot of polish on the game, including music and audio, foley work, adding bespoke sound effects for each and every item that you can interact with, and refining the narrative and memoir sequences.
We’ve also been polishing the visuals. There are a lot of rooms in the game, so we’ve been working hard to flesh those out and make them look beautiful, as well as adding tooltips and improving the UI and UX to ensure A Storied Life: Tabitha is a pleasant and enjoyable experience for our players.
Currently we’re working on getting a playable demo ready, so stay tuned for more news on that soon. If you’d like to follow our updates on socials, it’s best to follow our publisher accounts here and join the Discord.
