v0.13 is about 75% complete, and will be releasing between early-to-mid September!
During your date with Valerie, you'll experience an amusing situation as Valerie mistakes a portly man for an ogre. There's a lot she still doesn't understand about this world... and she is, after all, quite the troublemaker.
This update also utilizes the narrator's voice (third-person) more often, particularly during Rena's fight scene. I've had a lot of fun writing these parts, since they allow me to expand on the lore and fight mechanics in real-time.
Since these parts take more time to write, I'll continue using the narrator voice in moderation going forward.
With the release of v0.13, Act 3 will become the longest story arc so far. After this, there will be two more updates before the arc wraps up, so I'm expecting it will be the largest overall of the 8 planned acts. Much of the character development and emotional payoff will happen here.
