We’re thrilled to announce that full controller support is coming to Frostpunk 2 on PC starting September 18th, launching alongside the console release.
Building on our experience with the original Frostpunk: Console Edition, we’ve worked hard to refine the gamepad experience for Frostpunk 2. The result is an intuitive, streamlined, circular interface that lets you manage your city with just a flick of your thumb. When you connect your gamepad, you’ll experience a redesigned UI built specifically for smooth navigation. Adapting the complex PC interface for controllers was no easy task, but we’ve created an experience that feels both natural and satisfying. Our goal has always been to prove that even deep, strategic city-builders can feel just as immersive and accessible on a controller.
Enjoy quick access to your most important actions,
Use the bumper buttons to cycle between districts of the same type,
Interact with a dynamic radial menu that appears over resource piles, showing context-specific actions.
To ensure fast and fluid decision-making, we reimagined the circular interface from Frostpunk: Console Edition and rebuilt it for the new challenges of Frostpunk 2.
Since Frostpunk 2 differs in gameplay from its predecessor, we carefully reworked and adapted these systems over time. Our aim is to give you the freedom to choose your preferred way to play, without worrying about how to navigate the controls.
