Some of the best ideas in gaming often come from unexpected places. The Talos Principle is one such story—a critically acclaimed philosophical puzzle game that was never supposed to exist in the first place. What started as an experiment in gameplay mechanics during the development of Serious Sam evolved into an entirely new game that none of the developers had initially planned.
This is the story of how The Talos Principle came to life—born from a simple gameplay idea, fueled by curiosity, and nurtured by a creative team willing to follow where inspiration led them.
