ANNOUNCEMENT

LIMINAL SHIFT · published 11 Mar 2025, 01:56 UTC

All newsPlayers around this dateRead on Steam

Hello everyone,

First of all, we apologize for the slight delay. We have some survey results, good news, and bad news to share. Let’s start with the results.

  • 75% of players agreed that walking and running speeds should be increased. As a result, the character’s movement speed will be reviewed again.
  • 82% of players voted for changes to the menu and progression system. In response, the entire menu has been redesigned, and a progression system has been integrated into the game.
  • 68% of players wanted small puzzles and actions required to progress. Based on this, Episode 2 will be much more interactive, featuring objects to find and use. Additionally, we have carefully read all the suggestions left in the final text box. Your ideas will play a significant role in Episode 2.

Now for the bad news:

Due to the small size of our team and financial challenges, we unfortunately have to indefinitely postpone Episode 2 for now. However, this indefinite delay won’t last too long. We don’t want to keep you waiting too much, but we ask for your understanding.

We’ve taken note of your ideas and expectations for Episode 2 and a unique liminal experience—a semi-open world filled with abandoned, desolate neighborhoods and streets, with a deeply eerie atmosphere. This aligns perfectly with our vision. We want to create a semi-open world where every player can wander and relax, sometimes feeling uneasy, with each area being distinct and unique. More interactions, required materials for progression, and much more are part of our plans.

We will be sharing more information and videos about Episode 2 soon. However, for now, we must fully postpone the roadmap. We’ll try to release an announcement with exact dates as soon as possible. Please remember that NextPhase is still a small studio in terms of both manpower and finances. We are doing our absolute best to make sure the wait is worth it.

Thank you once again for your understanding and support! If you have any questions, feel free to reach out to us in the comments and discussions—we read and carefully consider every message.

See you at next updates!
