Fellow indie dev Czardus posted a long-form playthrough of the demo on YouTube. He builds an empire, learns the hub system the hard way, and along the way buys out a competitor's London Heathrow slot just to spite them. If you want to see how the campaign plays out before you wishlist, this is probably the best video out there right now. Czardus picked the Dawn of Flight era on Easy, started building hubs in Chicago and New York, and worked his way through the Great Depression all the way to global expansion across Asia, Europe, and the Middle East. By the end, he had 92% market share in the Americas and a 150-city network. A few things he flagged that I thought were worth calling out:
He liked the auto-slot purchase when buying a route into a city where he didn't already hold a slot
He got tripped up by the "Awaiting Delivery" status on new routes and briefly thought routes were broken. That's something I'm looking at for clarity.
The "Buy All" button in the Strategic Advisor became his favorite tool
He said Easy felt a little too easy for him. Fair feedback. I'll be folding it into the balance pass.
